A Musical Universe
For Learning the Law
An immersive journey transforming legal doctrine into rhythm, story, and unforgettable memory.
From One Bar Exam Journey to Another
I created BarVerse™ while studying for the U.S. bar exam and juggling real life. When memorization wasn't sticking, I started turning legal concepts into music and immersive worlds I could take with me — studying on commutes, on runs, anywhere. Those early songs grew into a whole universe called BarVerse.
It complemented my traditional bar prep, made doctrine finally click, and brought a smile to my face at a time when I needed it most.
Now, BarVerse brings that system to every learner.
Three Pillars of Learning
Rhythmic Memory
Legal doctrine set to rhythm and rhyme: the structure your brain uses to hold complex information and make it stick. Grounded in cognitive research on rhythm, repetition, and memory encoding.
World Building
Explore ten immersive legal worlds where doctrine becomes story, structure, and meaning. Rooted in the method of loci, the memory technique of anchoring ideas to places you can walk through and remember.
Black Letter Law Guides
Every track includes a structured guide that converts the lyrics into UBE doctrine and an MEE‑ready issue map. The music teaches it — the guide locks it in.
Explore BarVerse™
Each world contains an Anthem, Doctrine Drills, and Guides that map every lyric to black‑letter law and exam tips. Start by listening to sample tracks below.
Study Guides
Every track is paired with a guide that maps each lyric to black‑letter law, case citations, and exam tips.
Criminal Minds Anthem
The Psychological Landscape
Criminal Minds Anthem takes you through the landscape of Criminal Law before categories are separated. Criminal liability begins inside the mind — crimes are introduced not as statutes, but as living characters.
- ·Mens rea speaks
- ·Actus reus moves
- ·Causation shadows every act
The Hierarchy of Mental States
- ·Purpose: Deliberate control, planning
- ·Knowledge: Awareness a result will occur
Hearsay Drill
Hearsay Heights
The most intricate neighborhood in Evidence Empire. The general rule: hearsay is not admissible. The track teaches you to decide whether something is hearsay — and if so, whether it can find a lawful path inside.
The Two‑Step Test
- ·Step 1: Is there a statement? (Oral · Written · Conduct)
- ·Step 2: Is it offered for the truth of what it asserts?
If the purpose is something other than proving the truth — effect on listener, verbal act, legally operative words — then the meaning disappears, and it is not hearsay at all.
Constitutional Law Anthem
The Entry Requirements to Constitutional City
Your journey begins at the illuminated gates of the Great Courthouse — SCOTUS — where the first challenge is not a test of memory, but a test of legitimacy. The law asks: do you belong here?
The Guardians at the Gate
- ·Standing
- ·Ripeness
- ·Mootness
- ·Political questions
Government Action
Constitutional rights are not triggered by private disputes — they require the presence of state power. Sometimes it's obvious. Other times it's subtle — a private actor performing a public function.
Real learners. Real results.
“I purchased a subscription and am in LOVE.”
“This is my 5th time taking the exam and I don’t think I’ve ever felt so happy/confident walking out of that exam. I truly can’t thank you enough.”
“One of the songs I listened to on the way to the exam was the FIRST written question when I cracked open that booklet.”
“I sit next week so I wish I had found your content a little earlier, but perhaps it was JUST in time. I have already sent it to a friend who is sitting in February and she is really enjoying it!!!”
“As someone who never took corporations or any form of business law in law school, the Business Borough saved my life.”
“Between knowing the differences in duties and even the differences in stock, I went from producing absolutely terrible corporate essays to actually feeling like they were some of my best ones. Rule 10(b)(5) really did cut through like flame!!!”
“My confidence is soaring.”
“It TOTALLY brought joy, my sister and I were rocking out in the car together and we had a wonderful time.”
“So much of bar study is intense so having this bank was such a nice way to count it as bar study without needing to lock in for an intense session.”
“It was a non-intimidating way to ‘start’ studying for the day.”
